Super Quick Spaghetti Bolognese
Ingredients:
500g grass-fed beef mince
1 small brown onion or half large, diced
1 clove organic garlic, diced
1/4 cup bone broth
1/4 cup organic tomato paste
1 tbsp coconut oil/ghee/animal fat etc for cooking in
1 tbsp plash of coconut amino
Himalayan salt, pepper
1 tsp ea dried or fresh herbs (basil, rosemary, oregano and thyme go well)
2 zucchinis
Optional:
- Add grated carrot and pumpkin. Fresh herb leaves to garnish
- Stir in grass-fed beef collagen powder to the sauce for an extra nutrient-boost
Kitchen Gadgets:
Medium saucepan
Large spoon
Vegetable slicer to make zoodles
Food processor or stick blender
Method:
1. Place oil/fat and onion in a saucepan on low heat
2. Cook onion until it becomes translucent
3. Increase temperature, add the mince and break up with a large spoon as it cooks through
4. Add tomato paste, turmeric, bone broth, salt and pepper (add garlic, grated veg and dried herbs at this point too)
5. Reduce temperature and cook for a minute or so
6. Remove from the heat and add any fresh herbs you're using as flavour then stir
7. Use the vegetable slicer to make zucchini noodles
8. Place zucchini noodles on serving plates or in bowls and spoon the sauce on top. Garnish with fresh herbs to serve
